HIFU is a high-intensity focused ultrasound that has been specifically designed to bypass the epidermis (outer skin layer) and provide targeted energy waves deep into underlying tissue.

These energy waves have been calibrated to the precise depth and temperature to stimulate the process of neocollagenesis (collagen creation) and the body’s natural healing process.

During the appointment, the device will be directed across the skin of the targeted areas. HIFU is considered pain free, however can be a little uncomfortable for some people. You can expect to feel a warm, tingling or prickling sensation as the energy is directed into the skin. This sensation ceases upon the completion of the session.

Following treatment, you can safely resume normal activities immediately.

You may begin to see results immediately after treatment, however the full effect will be seen 2-3 months after treatment.

Lifestyle, skin condition and the body’s natural ability to produce collagen will also impact results.

The number of sessions varies by client and will be discussed in the consultation, however typically results will be seen after only one (1).

While results can last years everyone is different, and so is the production and degradation of collagen. Maintenance treatments can be administered every 12 months.

We recommend that all clients arrange a consultation with one of our therapists prior to any treatment to discuss any concerns or relevant medical history, however HIFU is typically suitable for anyone wanting a lift.

Individuals with keloid scarring, cystic acne, electrical/metal implants (in the treatment area) may not be suitable. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we do not recommend HIFU.

Pre treatment

It is important that you inform your therapist if you have any significant medical history and/or if you are taking any medications prior to treatment, otherwise just bring yourself.

Post treatment

There are no post-treatment restrictions or requirements, and makeup can be applied to mask any skin redness following the procedure.
